Ingredients

Servings:
4
1 cup(s)
all-purpose flour
salt and pepper, to taste
3
eggs
2 cup(s)
Italian-style breadcrumbs
1
12 ounce bag of refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
canola or vegetable oil, for frying
marinara sauce, see notes for recipe
1/4 cup(s)
freshly grated Parmesan
finely chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions 9 steps | 30 Minutes

Step 1

Prepare the breading station. In one shallow bowl, add the all-purpose flour and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a second shallow bowl, whisk together the two eggs until well combined.

Step 3

In a third shallow bowl, add the Italian-style breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4

Start breading the ravioli. Coat the ravioli with the flour and shake off the excess.

Step 5

Transfer the ravioli to the eggs. Coat the ravioli with the eggs and let the excess drip off.

Step 6

Transfer the ravioli to the Italian-style breadcrumbs and coat thoroughly. Repeat with the remaining ravioli.

Step 7

Fill a cast-iron skillet or a deep saute pan with 3-4 inches of oil. Heat the oil to 350°F. Line a sheet pan with paper towels and set a wire rack on top. Fry the ravioli until golden brown.

Step 8

Drain the fried ravioli on the prepared wire rack. Top with the freshly grated Parmesan while the ravioli is still hot.

Step 9

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with a side of marinara sauce. Enjoy!
