Preheat the oven to 350°F. Measure and prep all ingredients.
Place the walnuts on a baking sheet and toast for 5-7 minutes.
In the bowl of a food processor, place the toasted walnuts, garlic, basil, salt and pepper. Process until finely chopped.
With the machine running, slowly add the olive oil.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
Use immediately or store in an airtight container. If stored in an airtight container, top the pesto with a layer of extra-virgin olive oil before placing on the lid. Enjoy!
