Ingredients

Servings:
1
1 cup(s)
full-fat oat milk, see notes
1 tblsp
cacao powder
1 tblsp
dairy-free dark chocolate chips
a tiny pinch of salt
1 tblsp
maple syrup, or more to taste
whipped coconut cream, for topping
shaved dairy-free chocolate, for garnish

Directions 5 steps | 5 Minutes

Step 1

Measure and prep all ingredients.

Step 2

In a small pot over low heat, add the oat milk, cacao powder, dairy-free chocolate chips and salt.

Step 3

Heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth and heated through.

Step 4

Transfer the hot chocolate to a mug and stir in maple syrup.

Step 5

Top with coconut whipped cream and garnish with shaved dairy-free chocolate. Sip and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Full-fat oat milk is important. Any other type of oat milk will result in a thinner, less creamy hot cocoa.
