Ingredients

Servings:
1
1
jalapeño, deseeded and sliced
1/2 oz
agave nectar
1 oz
fresh lime juice
1/4 oz
mezcal
2 oz
blanco tequila
1
pinch of salt, as garnish
1
sage leaf, as garnish

Directions 6 steps | 6 Minutes

Step 1

In the cup of a shaker, muddle one thin slice of jalapeño. (See Notes)

Step 2

Combine agave nectar, fresh lime juice, mezcal and tequila into the shaker.

Step 3

Add ice to the shaker, then shake back and forth for 10 seconds.

Step 4

Strain into a short glass over ice.

Step 5

Sprinkle one pinch of salt on the top layer of the cocktail. Rub the rim of the glass with a sage leaf for 5 seconds, then use it as a garnish.

Step 6

Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes:

Be sure to remove the seeds from the jalapeño. If you prefer your cocktail really spicy, then you may leave them as is. Cheers!
