medium onion, diced

14.6 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chiles
8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1 tsp
crushed red pepper or more to taste
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions 6 steps | 40 Minutes

Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until evenly browned.

Step 2

Drain the skillet of excess fat and add the diced onions. Cook the onions until translucent.

Step 3

Stir in the diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes

Step 4

Lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the cream cheese and cheddar cheese.

Step 5

Once the cheese has melted and the mixture is well blended, stir in the crushed red pepper. Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6

Serve warm with tortilla chips or crackers. Enjoy!


Notes:

For a spicier dip, use spicy ground sausage and add a dash or two of your favorite hot sauce.

A game day must! My husband loves this dip and could eat an entire batch by himself. So easy to make and absolutely delicious with tortilla or pita chips!
