Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Place the Parmesan cheese in eight small piles, at least 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned and bubbly.

Remove the crisps from the sheet pan from the oven. Season with black pepper, if desired. Cool completely. (See notes 1.)
