carrots

salted butter

garlic clove, minced
2 tblsp
maple syrup
salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup(s)
chopped pecans, for topping
2 tblsp
chopped fresh parsley, for ganish

Step 1

Peel the carrots and slice them diagonally into ¼ inch thick ovals.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk the butter until it foams up and brown bits form, about 2 minutes.

Add the garlic and carrots and cook for 3 minutes.

Add the maple syrup and cook until the carrots are tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

I've always used honey but I will be trying maple next! Sounds so good for fall

I just did this with some of my hubby's favorite bourbon maple syrup. This was so heavenly!
