Brussels sprouts

slices of thick-cut bacon, chopped
1 tsp
granulated garlic
1 tblsp
maple syrup
1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
salt and pepper, to taste

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil. Prepare the Brussels sprouts by trimming the bottoms and slicing them lengthwise.

In a skillet over medium-low heat, cook the bacon until crispy and the fat is rendered.

In a large mixing bowl, add the rendered bacon fat, sliced Brussels sprouts, granulated garlic, maple syrup, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Toss to coat.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared sheet pan and roast the Brussels sprouts for about 15-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The cook time will vary with the size of the Brussels sprouts.

Remove from the oven and toss with the cooked bacon. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Such a great recipe. Maple syrup and bacon is the best sweet and savory combo ever and the Brussels sprouts crisp up so nicely too!
