In the bowl of a food processor, add the pitted Medjool dates, walnuts, sunflower seeds, cocoa powder, almond butter and salt.

Line an 8x8 square pan with parchment paper. Smooth the mixture into the pan and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until cold, about 30 minutes.

Notes:

  1. Old Medjool dates tend to be tough and dry. Make sure to use fresh Medjool dates that are moist and chewy.
