medium ripe avocados, skin and pit removed

maple syrup or honey
1/2 cup(s)
brown sugar

almond butter

eggs, room temperature

pure vanilla extract

almond or coconut flour

baking soda

unsweetened cocoa powder

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 baking dish. Gather and measure all ingredients.

In a food processor, add the avocados, maple syrup or honey, almond butter and sugar. Process for 30 seconds or until well combined. Alternatively, do this by hand with a whisk.

Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Process until well combined, about 30 seconds.

Add the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt. Process until all the ingredients come together and until the batter becomes smooth.

Fold in the pecans with a spatula and spread the avocado brownies in the baking dish. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the center is completely cooked. If you insert a toothpick or a knife, it should come out clean.

Let cool for 30 minutes and plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before cutting brownies into squares and serving. Enjoy!
