Measure and prep all ingredients.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix well until smooth.
Carefully separate the prosciutto slices and cut them in half lengthwise.
Spread a thin layer of softened cheese mixture on the prosciutto lengths carefully, to keep the piece intact.
Place the base of the asparagus at one end of the prosciutto and carefully roll it on an angle to cover most of the stem.
Place the wrapped asparagus on a foil-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle it with fresh ground pepper, salt and garlic powder. (See notes 1.)
Place it under a hot broiler for 2 minutes. Flip the asparagus and cook for another 2 minutes or until the prosciutto is evenly and lightly crisp.
Serve and enjoy!
- Asparagus can be wrapped and seasoned on the foil lined tray up to a day in advance. When ready to serve, broil as directed and serve warm.
