Bacon roses may be the most beautiful way to present bacon. Served on a bed of fresh salad greens and drizzled with a bacon vinaigrette, it's a gorgeous addition to any meal.

slices smoked bacon
1 tblsp
maple syrup
1 tblsp
balsamic vinegar
1/4 tsp
freshly cracked black pepper
salt, to taste

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400℉. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Take a slice of bacon and roll from one end to the other. Secure with toothpicks. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining bacon.

Bake for 30 minutes. Take out of the oven and when cool enough to handle, remove the toothpicks. Set aside.

Make the bacon vinaigrette. Reserve two tablespoons of bacon drippings from the baking sheet.

In a small bowl whisk in bacon drippings, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and salt.

Toss salad greens in the bacon vinaigrette, then arrange on a platter.
