Brush the inside of a microwave-safe mug with melted butter.
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in the mug and whisk together.
Pour in milk, vanilla extract and remaining melted butter. Stir until smooth.
Microwave for 60-90 seconds until cooked.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkles or toppings of choice. See notes for suggested variations. Enjoy!
- Fold 2-3 tablespoons chopped candy, chocolate chips or fruit preserve into the batter.
- Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder, matcha powder or protein powder in with the dry ingredients.
- Top with whipped cream, chopped nuts, fresh fruit slices, chocolate chips or maple syrup.
