Measure and prep all ingredients.
Prepare the parsnips by peeling the parsnips and chopping them roughly.
In a saucepot over medium heat, add the chopped parsnips, garlic clove, whole milk, black pepper and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil and lower to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Transfer the contents of the pot into the jar of a blender and blend until smooth.
Push the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to ensure a smooth puree.
