Sip into the New Year with this cotton candy champagne. With a fluffy cloud of cotton candy and a rim of gold sprinkles, it is a beautifully festive cocktail perfect for celebrations.

gold coarse or sanding sugar

lime juice

750 ml bottle of rose or plain champagne, cold
pink cotton candy, see notes 1
gold leaf flakes, for decoration

Step 1

Measure and prep all ingredients.

Place the gold sugar and lime juice in two shallow bowls.

Dip the rim of the champagne flute in the lime juice.

Then dip the champagne flute into the gold sugar to line the rim of the champagne flute.

Fill the champagne flutes with champagne.

Place a fluffy cloud of cotton candy on top of the champagne rim. Garnish with gold leaf flakes. When ready to sip, push the cotton candy into the champagne. The cotton candy will dissolve with a few gold leaf flakes floating for a pretty presentation. Enjoy!

Notes:

  1. Store bought cotton candy tends to be compact. If buying cotton candy, make sure to fluff it up before placing it onto the champagne flute.
