1/4 cup(s)
vegetable oil
1/2 cup(s)
granulated sugar
1/3 cup(s)
brown sugar
2
large eggs
1 cup(s)
buttermilk, room temperature
2 tsp
vanilla extract
2 1/2 cup(s)
all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp

Directions 9 steps | 25 Minutes

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray two doughnut pans with non-stick cooking spray. Measure and prep all ingredients.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, oil, granulated sugar and brown sugar, making sure to work out any clumps of brown sugar. Use a hand-held electric mixer to whip the mixture until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Beat in the eggs, one at a time.

Step 4

Beat in the milk and the vanilla extract until combined.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and salt.

Step 6

Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir until just combined.

Step 7

Fill the prepared doughnut pans with the batter until ¾ full. Bake for 12-15 minutes, rotating the pans halfway, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 8

Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing them onto a wire rack to fully cool.

Step 9

Serve with a cup of milk, tea or coffee. Enjoy!
