I booked Meg's class for my (long-distance) partner's birthday and he ABSOLUTELY loved it! My husband and I joined Chef Meg for an Italian night - learning how to make pasta. Chef Meg was awesome. She put us both at ease the moment we walked in, along with her dog who was adorable throughout the night and so very well behaved. Chef Meg came to our apartment for a cooking class and we had an amazing night! We recently bought a pasta maker and Meg not only showed us how to set it up and use it, she also answered all of our questions and left us with so many tips and tricks. While we were not really sure what to expect as we had never taken a private cooking class, Meg put us to ease and made the experience so much fun. She was so thoughtful and funny throughout the entire evening and she really did an amazing job as both a teacher and entertainer. We are already figuring out when we can take her class on duck!

Chef Meg is amazing! I reserved a private dinner with Chef Meg as a birthday gift for my friend. Meg was very responsive and kind in her messages leading up to the day of the dinner. My friend and her husband were extremely happy with Meg and her services, and told me that "the chef was so sweet, and the food was amazing." I am truly beyond words. Chef Meg made us laugh so hard I fell out of my chair multiple times. Imagine having a stellar Michelin rated meal prepared for you by Amy Schumer. I gifted this Cozy Meal cooking class and it was an incredible experience that completely exceeded our expectations. As a “surprise gift” for my foodie boyfriend, my nerves were at an all-time high, however, Chef Meg was very helpful during the planning process by quickly answering my questions and providing an amazing wine recommendation to pair with the meal. I immediately knew we were in for a treat when we welcomed by Meg and her dog, Doug (who is actually a human in disguise :) ) at the door. The menu and food preparation was impeccable. We learned so many useful tips and tricks that we’ve already started to incorporate into our normal cooking routines. We enjoyed learning her delicious versions of the recipes and already successfully seared another duck breast on our own. If I could give fifty stars out of 5, that would be Chef Meg's score. I took my girlfriend to Chef Meg for a surprise birthday dinner, and the experience was out of this world. There is no way people can have planet-wide-echoes of laughter while kneading dough and making fettuccine unless it's with Chef Meg. Do not worry if you have zero cooking experience. You will be welcomed with Chef Meg as she is beyond friendly and extremely helpful with anything and everything. It was really exciting to learn new tips and tricks in the kitchen, and the handmade pasta will blow your mind and ruin boxed pasta. She had some great kitchen tips along the way, not intimidating at all and made me feel like I can definitely make that meal at home. I love that we did this in her kitchen with no fancy tools. Our experience was great! The duck was the best we’d ever had. I’m still thinking about it 2 days later. Chef Meg was great as well! It was the right mix of learning, relaxing, and enjoying. Chef Meg was wonderful and so was her sous chef, Doug! I surprised my husband with the Fresh and Seasonal Italian meal for our anniversary because he loves Italian food. I am gluten intolerant and Chef Meg was able to accommodate my gluten allergy. She took great care to research the best gluten free alternative bread and flours. The three course meal was delicious and interactive. My husband and I had so much fun making pasta noodles from scratch! We brought a bottle of wine with us, but when we opened it it was bad; but Chef Meg was generous and shared some of her own. Chef Meg is not only an excellent chef, but she is a delight to be around! My husband and I had a wonderful time and highly recommend cooking with Chef Meg.

I purchased a class with chef Meg for my husband’s birthday. We learnt how to make donuts, and that was a fun experience! It would be fun to do everything ourselves (including mixing the dough, frying the donuts) but I understand that the format is a bit different and it would take much longer. Definitely 5 stars! I decided to buy a Cozymeal experience for my boyfriend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. I wanted to do something a little different and this fit the bill. I thought he might be a little skeptical, especially going to a stranger’s house, so I didn’t tell him until we were in the car. He went in with an open mind and loved it. Meg is uber personable and the night flew by. She really put us at ease right from the beginning & I could tell we were in good hands. We made pasta from scratch and it was so good! We had a FABULOUS time with Meg! My husband and I were looking for new things to do with our parents who were visiting from out of town and this was a hit! The food was delicious, and I realized I like duck since it was prepared so perfectly (juicy with a crispy skin and OMG yum sauce.) This experience as a whole was awesome!! Chef Meg is really great at what she does as a Chef and also as an Entertainer during the cooking class! My girlfriend and I did this class together and it went really well, her home was very welcoming and was a great setup for a dinner date. We had such a great time with Chef Meg. She completely reworked the menu because of our very last minute dietary restrictions and the food came out so fantastic. She did an excellent job and explained her cooking process very practically for us to understand how to build the recipe step by step. Yesterday my son, his wife and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Chef Meg. We were looking for a fun experience, but were also serious about learning how to make home made pasta. We were not disappointed. While it’s not exactly difficult, we learned that there are a lot of details that go into making pasta. Knowledgeable, personable, and a natural born teacher, Chef Meg took us through the process and gave each of us a chancellor some hands-on practice. Two of our party had never done this and they went home confidant that they could do it themselves. The third in the party had made pasta a number of times over the years, but felt that there was still something missing in her technique. Watching Chef Meg cleared everything up for me and here I am, a day later making the perfect batch of fettuccine on my own. The appetizer and dessert courses were outstanding -- no surprise. Throughout the class, Chef Meg passed on a number of techniques that all of us were unfamiliar with. This class was a surprise for my husband, and let me just say, my husband just kept thanking me for booking this class once we left. THANKS MEG for helping me gain "great wife points". The food was phenomenal and her instruction was top notch. If you want to have some laughs, learn how to cook great food, and be incredibly full Chef Meg is the best of the best.

Chef Meg was quite simply the best. My wife and I loved having her over and cannot recommend her enough to others looking for an incredible experience. Chef Meg was a fantastic teacher who gave useful tips for both the meal itself and other random cooking questions we lobbed at her. It quickly felt like we were just having a close friend over for dinner, as she was so easy to talk to and get to know. The food was amazing...we wish all our fine dining experiences in DC were half as good as the one Chef Meg was able to create in our own home. The duck was paired with a sauce that took the dish to a whole new level, and her surprise addition of bacon to deviled eggs was inspired. Book her as soon as you can! You will love it.

I bought this is experience for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, she had expressed interest in learning more about cooking this year. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and date night with Chef Meg. Meg was wonderful, and made the whole experience so fun. She was super funny, welcoming and explained each step of the meal really clearly. Sous Chef Doug was the perfect addition, and we can't wait to follow his instagram account! We loved the whole experience and can't wait to sign up for another night with Meg soon!

If you are reading this review... PICK CHEF MEG!!! I was choosing between two options and read her reviews and chose her... best. decision. ever! My husband and I had the most wonderful experience with her Seasonal Italian 3-course Dinner. We laughed the entire night and shared stories over the most amazing meal. Chef Meg is so talented and such a wonderful instructor... she even took the time to share her insider tips and tricks and alternatives for my vegetarian diet! Chef Meg and Sous Chef Doug could not have been more hospitable! We were treated like royalty. What an incredible experience! Meg’s Italian pasta-making class was wonderfully executed. She took a hands-on approach, explaining the science behind pasta formation, as well as the dessert-making process. And the end result was a rich, delicious meal of which I had helped make! Moreover, Meg’s warm demeanor and witty personality kept me entertained the whole evening! She is a talented chef and an amazing host!! I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants a small, intimate dinner or a larger teamwork experience!

?‍? Meg made our entire evening amazing from start to finish. We chose the Italian option, which was perfect for us, and Meg was well versed in teaching and simultaneously preparing the meal for us. In addition to the meal being beyond delicious, Meg's personality elevated the experience to the next level. Although not needed for us, it is wonderful to know that she can bend over backwards to accommodate most any dietary restrictions. We would highly recommend Meg to anyone looking for a personal chef or culinary immersion.

I loved Chef Meg! She was very friendly and responsive, even helping me figure out how to reach her apartment. She (and her adorable dog) kept my boyfriend and me entertained the whole two hours, as she has a wonderful personality and interesting personal stories. That being said, I thought this experience would be more "hands-on", as stated in the event description. Instead, my boyfriend and I idly sat for 1.5 hours as we watched Chef Meg do a host of things, before we finally got to participate in the last part of glazing the donuts. The donuts turned out to be delicious, though, since Chef Meg is truly a talented chef!

We had an amazing time with Chef Meg! The food was incredible, and we loved spending time with and getting to know Meg. She immediately felt like an old friend. Meg was also extremely accommodating of our food allergies and went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our food. As a gay couple, we felt comfortable and welcomed, which is something we're both grateful for and don't take for granted. We would recommend Chef Meg to any of our friends and hope to take another one of her classes soon. We had a blast with Chef Meg. We laughed, we cried with laughter, and we cooked a delicious meal. This was our first cozymeal/cooking class and the bar has definitely been set high. If you are looking to learn how to make a delicious meal and have a good time doing it, Chef Meg has you covered. She has many years of experience working in kitchens from Italy to New York to Vegas and all of the stories to go along with it lol. I can't recommend Chef Meg enough!

Not only was the food (duck, deviled eggs, chocolate mousse) delicious and top restaurant quality, but she explained every detail of the meal prep and cooking, and provided recipes and instructions, ensuring we could make this at home. As someone who is hesitant when it comes to baking, she answered all of my questions regarding the science behind baking as well as giving us useful tips. Chef Meg was nothing short of AMAZING! We had a great hands on experience with explanations of the cooking process every step of the way. As a casual date night we chose the “Duck, Duck, Mousse” meal and had absolutely NO REGRETS! Chef Meg not only gave instruction but also a vibrant personality that made the entire experience one to remember. From the date’s perspective: from arrival, Chef Meg was warm and welcoming. Her home was gorgeous - the set up was great for an intimate date night. She was informative, kind, hilarious, and the perfect catalyst for a great night. AND the food was great! What a wonderfully unique experience! This was a surprise present for a birthday date night and we both were very impressed and are excited to try another Cozymeal experience. Meg was a blast to have as our chef and was both professional and immediately made us feel welcome and right at home. Her energy is infectious and time just flew on by while sharing stories and kicking back chatting while getting cooking tips. We had tons of leftovers that we ate all weekend long which was an unexpected bonus! We will be back!

Chef Meg is wonderful! She is so personable and knowledgeable about the culinary arts, and more than happy to answer any questions about techniques and recipes. I was so thankful she adapted recipes to fit my diet restrictions, too. Her dishes were so yummy—seared duck breast, roasted herb vegetables and a dairy-free chocolate mousse with a wine-soaked cherry sauce. Oh my. De.Li.Cious. This was my first time attending a cooking class, so I don’t have anything to compare my experience to. I do believe Chef Meg sets the bar REALLY high, and I can promise that you won’t be disappointed if you book a lesson/class with her. She’s fantastic! Guest 1: This was my Valentine's Day surprise for my bf, and we had a BLAST with Chef Meg! Chef Meg was very warm, kind, and hilarious! Total sweetheart! We laughed a ton, talked about shows and actors we like (she's great at remembering actor's names! #trivia), and shared stories all while our food was being prepared. We had such a great time in Chef Meg's class! She is warm, fun, & welcoming and taught us to make some delicious dishes. We loved the small group feel and Meg was super gracious answering our many questions and teaching us some neat cooking tips along the way.
