Chef Parsati is a treasure of a human being. From the moment we stepped in, she made both us feel welcome as if we were long lost relatives. Not only did she ask very insightful questions about our relationship with cooking and food, but she tailored the experience to our respective backgrounds. The engagement and flow were world class. We learned more about each other along the way and it was truly an experience either of us will never forget it. The personal touch that she provides is a rare gift. Very thankful for the attention to detail and stewardship. Highly would recommend to anyone, even if they aren't one who ventures into the kitchen often. You might surprise yourself after this class.
Booked the class Mountaintop Grilling with Chef Evan in Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz)
Chef Evan's view alone is worth taking this class, and the incredible class on grilling and the meal make it a no-brainer. Chef Evan lives on the top of a mountain in a cool home built in the shape of three tents, with a wraparound porch giving a view onto the Santa Cruz Mountains. He gathers a ton of his ingredients from his own garden plot, and the rest of this food is locally sourced and absolutely amazing. Definitely a must try.

Chef Parasati’s Indian grilling class was absolutely fantastic! She is incredibly professional, detail-oriented, and a joy to learn from. She goes deep into grilling techniques for both meats and vegetables, explaining how different proteins respond to marinades, spices, and heat. The class isn’t just about following recipes—you actually learn the science and intuition behind great cooking. I also loved her focus on sustainability and minimizing food waste, which adds a thoughtful and practical dimension to her teaching. We had a great birthday celebration cooking with Chef Parsati!! She had everyone participate in the preparation of our meal and she introduced us to new spices and flavors. She even adjusted the recipes quickly to accommodate everyone's palate. Eating the meal we prepared was so delicious!! We look forward to making these recipes at home. We highly recommend the class.
