41 Best Pringles Flavors Ranked in 2025

Last Updated on June 27, 2025 | 0 Comments
Pringles flavors are all delicious

The phrase “single Pringle” is an oxymoron: no matter what Pringles flavors you prefer, you won’t be able to stop at just one. There’s something addictive about these chips in a can, so it’s no surprise that there are so many Pringle flavors these days.

And nature abhors a vacuum, so any snack that comes in so many flavors begs to be ranked. That’s how we’ve ended up here, at this list of Pringles flavors ranked.

Of all those newfangled Pringles flavors in the snack aisle, which are the most snackable? Which tubes of chips hit paydirt and which would be better to skip? Let's find out! The best Pringles flavors among these 41 are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

How Many Flavors of Pringles Are There?

It’s hard to grasp just how many Pringles flavors there are until you look at a list of them all in one place. You’re not likely to find all Pringles flavors (55 of them!) in a single store, and try as you might, you probably won't encounter them all even at dozens of grocery stores.

What’s more, the Pringles landscape is always changing, so you may find limited edition flavors from time to time. That new flavor you just discovered might not last forever, so if you happen to enjoy it, you’d do well to stock up.

Keep in mind, though, that this only accounts for the flavors currently available in the U.S. market. Like McDonald’s menus or Kit Kat flavors, the globally recognized brand varies by country, and there are dozens more unique Pringles flavors available internationally. For brevity’s sake, we won’t account for those here, but you may encounter them if you ever pop into a grocery store on your overseas vacation.

The 41 Best Flavors of Pringles Ranked

41. Carnitas Taco

You’re going to start seeing a pattern in a few more list items: meat-inspired Pringles flavors don’t tend to be popular. These ones inspire particularly passionate rancor, and a single online search will bring up a plethora of colorfully unflattering flavor comparisons that we dare not repeat.

The gist of it is that this Pringles flavor doesn’t taste anything like a savory, juicy carnitas taco, nor does it particularly taste like anything you’d like to eat. You aren’t likely to find this new Pringles flavor in stores, but if you do, it’s probably best to give it a skip.

40. Philly Cheesesteak

With so many Pringle flavors in the mix, we’re bound to land on a few bizarre varieties. Many of those, as you'll see, are Pringles flavors based on popular meals that don’t seem likely to work out. This is one of those flavors, and unfortunately, it doesn’t work out any better than you’d expect.

There are some who find this Pringles flavor charming. Fans claim that it’s tasty, even if few of them will say that it actually tastes like a Philly cheesesteak. But there are legions more who won’t go to bat for it. Predictably, it doesn’t taste like the thing it’s meant to imitate, and to many, the resulting taste is not a pleasant one. This might be a Pringles flavor to try out of curiosity, but keep expectations reasonable.

39. Grilled Beer Brat

Of all the Pringles flavors they might come out with next, few of us probably expected a line of beer-inspired variations created in collaboration with Miller Lite. And unfortunately, it’s exactly as good as it sounds.

This sausage flavor is perhaps the least successful of the lot, managing to taste like the more unpleasant parts of both beer and sausage. We get the feeling this limited-edition Pringles flavor was sort of a gag all along.

38. Beer Can Chicken

See above. These Miller Lite chips aren’t any more beloved than the Grilled Beer Brat ones, with many critiquing the attempt at chicken flavoring rather than the weird beer flavor in this case.

If you’ve ever tried something with artificial chicken flavoring before, you may have an idea of how that turns out when you use it to season chips. Although others might be a bit more charitable, we have a hard time understanding just why these beer-inspired Pringles flavors were approved.

37. Beer-Braised Steak

While this is definitely the best of the three Miller Lite flavors, it’s by no means a runaway success. With a smoky, salty-sweet flavor somewhat reminiscent of barbecue, this Pringles flavor has amassed a small fan base for itself.

But it’s also not a dead ringer for the real thing, and many fans find it much too sweet to pass convincingly for a beer-braised steak. If you want to try a Miller Lite Pringles flavor, this is the one to go for, but remember that it ranks 37th out of 41 flavors before you do.

36. Chili Cheese Fries

This discontinued Pringles flavor can still be found at third-party online retailers, but it might have been better for us all if it quietly faded into obscurity. It bears little resemblance to chili cheese fries and didn’t garner many fans during its limited run, so it’s not really one we’d encourage you to seek out online.

35. Scorchin’ Sour Cream and Onion

What on earth would make somebody think that Sour Cream and Onion — easily a top-five Pringles flavor in anybody’s ranking — needed spice? That’s not what this flavor is about. The tang of onions and the cooling influence of sour cream need absolutely no help from any spice blend, and we have trouble seeing how adding it to the mix was anything but ill-conceived.

34. Everything Bagel

If you can’t imagine what an “everything bagel” chip would taste like, neither can the good folks who created it. This Pringles flavor tastes fairly generic, and while it isn’t at all unpleasant, it’s also not a true bagel-flavored chip. Expecting a strong aroma of nuts, seeds, yeast, seasoning or even cream cheese? You’ll probably be disappointed.

Like many of the not-quite-best Pringles flavors, there would be nothing wrong with this in a blind taste test. If you didn’t know what it was meant to taste like, you’d probably think it was all right. But it’s just not Everything Bagel, and that’s what sinks its ranking.

33. Harvest Blends Homestyle Ranch

The Harvest Blends line of Pringles flavors is one of those classic junk food brand efforts to make a favorite guilty pleasure a little healthier. They do that by adding multigrains (whatever that means in this case) to the usual mix, which predictably alters the flavor and texture of the chip. Some might be willing to put up with that in the name of health, while others will likely find it off-putting.

Similarly, the most common critique of this Pringles flavor is that the ranch taste isn’t as strong as that of the traditional Ranch Pringles. It’s still got that tang you’re looking for, but it’s a little more subtle. Those who are used to the ordinary chip might object to that as much as to the grainy texture, but if you’re used to eating healthier snacks with muted flavors and similar textures, it probably won’t bother you much.

32. Original Lightly Salted

While any brand that alters a beloved product to make it healthier is likely to get panned, that isn’t always a fair critique. Of all the Pringles flavors you could hate, why on earth would this bland but utterly inoffensive can of chips attract your ire? Its only sin is cutting sodium.

And yes, that inevitably impacts the flavor — you’ll definitely notice the lack of salt. But it's genuinely not that bad, and the texture you love remains exactly the same. (This is one thing this Pringles flavor has over the similarly healthified Harvest Blends line.) We would probably not choose it over Original, granted, but we still think it’s honorable of Pringles to consider those with hypertension and put out a less-salty flavor.

31. Original Reduced Fat

As we stated above, while there’s not really anything wrong with this lighter version of the original Pringles flavor, it also adds very little to the lineup. Unless, of course, you count opening up the snacking world to anyone watching their macros (or their calories, for that matter). We applaud that attempt at accessibility, but let’s be real: no Pringles flavor will ever really be healthy. So really, what’s the point?

30. Scorchin’ BBQ

We’ll give this Pringles flavor one thing: it’s a much better attempt at a spicy chip than Scorchin’ Sour Cream and Onion. Barbecue is a flavor that can take a little heat, so you’d think these had a chance of succeeding. But while they don’t totally flop, it’s hard to say that they add anything particularly special to the world of Pringles.

While fans of these chips cite the nice additional kick they get from the Scorchin’ part of their name, they’re really not “scorchin’.” They taste more like a barbecue sauce with a little more pepper than the average recipe, rather than a truly mouth-burning exercise in delicious pain.

Ultimately, they don’t add a whole lot to the already-classic BBQ Pringles flavor. You likely wouldn’t mind snacking on them if they happened to be around, but this Pringles flavor isn’t anything to go searching for.

29. Buffalo Ranch

Buffalo Ranch inspires mixed opinions. While there are those who defend it to the death, others find the taste too chemical, too vinegary or just all-around unpleasant. And it’s not a huge surprise: a good Buffalo dip seems like a hard dish to recreate in chip form. While you might find that you enjoy this Pringles flavor, it's not a fan favorite overall.

28. Scorchin’ Cheddar

Cheddar sounds like another ill-advised flavor base for a spicy chip, but it works a little better than Sour Cream and Onion. It’s not absolutely awful, but these still aren’t the most successful Scorchin’ chips, with neither the cheddar nor the heat coming through as strongly as you’d hope. When those are the two selling points of your chip, that’s kind of a problem.

Common sense is so often a good guideline when buying Pringles, so we can’t help but invoke it here. What do you grab when your tongue is on fire? Milk. What is cheese made of? Milk.

So what happens when you try to spice up cheese beyond the level of, say, a nice pepper jack? You end up neutralizing both the cheese and the spice. While this Pringles flavor is much too artificial to face exactly that same dilemma, the principle remains: it’s not a combination that fully allows either component to shine.

27. Enchilada Adobada

This is where we turn a corner: the next few Pringles flavors are by no means unappetizing. They might miss the mark in smaller ways, or have a rather niche target audience, but they’ll nonetheless be well-done flavors that wouldn’t be half-bad choices at the supermarket. Enchilada Adobada heads off that group with a surprisingly nuanced take on a favorite Mexican dish.

In recent years, many new Pringles flavors have tried adapting Latin American flavors to chip form. (We suspect the skyrocketing popularity of Mexican chile-lime chips is responsible.) And it’s that Chile-Limón-Lay's flavor that makes these a success.

While spicier than many Pringles flavors, they have a great kick with the right citrusy and smoky notes. Out there? A little. But if you fall into the spicy-Pringles niche, these things might prove to be irresistible.

26. Las Meras Meras Habaneras

This is another thoroughly solid Mexican-inspired spicy Pringles flavor, this time cutting the heat of habanero pepper with lime. Again, anything spicy has an inherently narrow target niche, so these can’t quite rank with the bigger crowd-pleasers. But if you do like your snacks with a little heat, this Pringles flavor is surprisingly layered and might just be your next favorite.

25. Scorchin’ Buffalo

Love Buffalo wings? Then you’ll probably be interested to hear that this is the best imitation of that tangy Buffalo sauce that you’ll find on a Pringles chip. This Pringles flavor definitely has a narrow target audience, essentially confined to people with a good spice tolerance who like Buffalo sauce, but within that niche are many happy customers.

Let this be a lesson to the minds behind them: Pringles flavors do best when they imitate not the meat itself, but the marinade. One only needs to look at the popularity of barbecue sauce-flavored chips to realize the truth of this statement.

Why? Because when you isolate the sauce, you get rid of the need to replicate meat in the form of seasoning — that’s when you can really make it taste like the thing it’s meant to be. These really do have that Buffalo sauce kick, and if you’re into that, you’ll love ‘em.

24. Pringles Mingles Cheddar and Sour Cream

Our one and only inclusion from the Pringles Mingles line of puffed corn snacks. They’re basically off-brand Cheetos, and while the marriage of two of the best gas station snacks is certainly an interesting idea, it’s just not a Pringle.

They taste okay — you know, puffed corn snacks covered in cheese powder are kind of already a thing — but not the best snack on the shelf. Might be worth a shot for the novelty, if nothing else.

23. Hot Ones Los Calientes Barbacoa

This smoky, tangy and slightly spicy Pringles flavor is decidedly tasty, and we’d bet it was at least one passionate fan’s all-time favorite. But this hot sauce-inspired Hot Ones line has much more interesting entries. Why? Because barbacoa really is just “barbecue” translated into Spanish, both literally and figuratively.

This is not the first spicy barbecue flavor we’ve seen on this list, and it won’t be the last. It’s hard to keep your chip above water when there are so many similar flavors competing for the precious cart space of every interested shopper. And while Hot Ones Los Calientes Barbacoa is a solid Pringles flavor, it doesn’t do much to make itself stand out in that crowd.

22. All Dressed

Too much! That’s all we can think to say about this recent arrival from Canada, where it’s been a staple Pringles flavor for a while now. All Dressed lives up to its name by throwing in every seasoning but the kitchen sink: barbecue sauce, onion and ketchup, along with salt, vinegar and sour cream — it’s “all dressed,” all right. It’s truly amazing that it isn’t a mess.

But while those flavors harmonize better than you might expect, it’s still not one of the best Pringles flavors out there. Simplicity tends to make a better chip, and some might be put off by the busyness of this chip’s many, many flavors.

21. Harvest Blends Sweet Potato Smoky BBQ

Our stubborn insistence on ranking so-called “healthy” Pringles flavors (are they, really?) persists with this Harvest Blends variation. Is it amazing? Not especially. Does it outstrip the classic BBQ Pringles we all know and mostly love? Definitely not. But it’s a serviceable snack that at least tries to take some of the guilt out of your guilty pleasure.

Does it especially matter that it’s probably little better for you than the dozens of other, no-grains-added chips next to it on the shelves? No.

It’s about perception. It’s about optics. It’s about the wonderful gift of being able to talk yourself into thinking you’re not busting your New Year’s Resolution to eat less processed foods to bits by snacking on these. When coupled with a decent chip, that’s enough for a near-top-20 ranking.

20. Hot Ones Los Calientes Rojo

Hot Ones Los Calientes Rojo goes for a straight hot sauce flavor, which is much more successful than the Barbacoa flavor’s attempt at spicy barbecue sauce. If you’re looking for a Pringles flavor in the Hot Ones line that really tastes like hot sauce, this is the one. Whether you like it, of course, is dependent on how much you like hot sauce — those who do will be very happy snackers.

19. Bourbon BBQ

Of all the Pringles flavors with a barbecue bent, this one is possibly the least compelling. The main reason for that is its inconsistency: some tubes will lack the desired bourbon punch, while others go overboard on the smoky seasoning and wind up tasting too strong.

While this could be a great twist on the classic BBQ flavor we’ll talk about later, it doesn’t quite live up to its potential. It’s a shame, but with so much competition among barbecue Pringles flavors, this one is solidly skippable.

18. Cheddar Cheese

The good news? This Pringles flavor is exactly what you’d expect. It’s savory, sharp and unmistakably cheesy. The bad news, though, is that so are dozens of other snacks that had the same idea.

While a tube of these neon-orange Pringles is satisfying if all you want is something cheesy, it doesn’t do a whole lot to stand out. What makes this any different than a Cheetos Puff, or a bag of cheddar-flavored Ruffles? Very little. Ultimately, this Pringles flavor is in too deep of a playing field to rank much higher than this.

17. Harvest Blends Farmhouse Cheddar

This is one Pringles flavor where, controversially, we’ll actually argue that the Harvest Blend version is better than the original. The thicker texture from the multigrain base isn’t a hindrance in this case; it actually adds a layer of nuance that the classic Cheese Pringles are missing.

Even if you’re not eating these on health grounds, we’d recommend them over the counterpart Pringles flavor for that added interest. Ironically, the much-maligned “healthy” grain blend might just be the thing that keeps these afloat next to their many, many cheese-flavored peers.

16. Texas BBQ Brisket

This Pringles flavor gets mixed reviews, with many saying it tastes indescribably funky, but it also pulls off a coup: successfully imitating the taste of meat. So many of the meat-esque Pringle flavors on this list were relegated to the very bottom that this should tell you that Texas BBQ Brisket is worth a try.

It’s not a perfect flavor, and certainly not for everyone. But with simple seasoning, the wizards behind this Pringles flavor managed to replicate at least the ghost of a real-life brisket, and that’s pretty insane. Try it once, even if you never want to see the things again.

15. Honey Mustard

This is another Pringles flavor that ranks highly for imitating the source material well. With adequate sweetness and just enough of a kick, Honey Mustard Pringles taste surprisingly like the stuff you might dip your chicken nuggets in or slather on your sandwich.

Just like regular honey mustard, they’re an acquired taste. But if you happen to have acquired it, go ahead and try this Pringles flavor. You won’t be disappointed.

14. Dill Pickle

In case you get confused when scrolling further down, Screamin’ Dill Pickle is its own thing, and this Pringles flavor is entirely another, “regular” version. Dill Pickle is a milder and slightly less salty flavor than Screamin’ version, but many of the same comments apply to both: fans of the vegetable will be satisfied by the strong, clear pickle flavor, and pickle detesters will predictably pass over this tube in the snack aisle.

13. Scorchin’ Chili and Lime

If you read the name of this Pringles flavor and thought of Takis, you’re probably onto something. We have a working theory that the Takis boom in the mid-2010s led to the proliferation of spicy chile-lime snacks we see today, and if we’re right, that’s what we have to thank for this Pringles flavor par excellence.

If you really just want some spice, this might be your best bet among the Pringles flavors ranked. Unlike some other so-called “spicy” picks, this one’s primary flavor really is the chile it promises, and the lime doesn’t so much cut the spice as complement it. Of course, this one is not for those with low spice tolerance or anybody prone to heartburn, but those who can take the heat will likely love it.

12. 7-Layer Dip

A surprisingly good execution of a Pringles flavor with many moving parts, 7-Layer Dip aims to recreate a favorite Mexican chip companion. It does so fairly well, with a little bit of spice cutting through the cheese and beans you taste more clearly. While you may not actually taste all seven of the proverbial layers, it’s still a tasty and neat way to eat something that’s ordinarily a little messy.

11. Harvest Blends Sweet Potato Sea Salt

There’s something about the thicker, grainier texture of the Harvest Blends Pringles flavors that makes a plain salted chip seem downright sophisticated. Didn’t think you’d ever see “Pringles” and “sophisticated” in the same sentence, now, did you?

That’s why we keep on vouching for these oddball “healthy” Pringles, even when they tend to be criticized online more often than not. In our fairly humble opinion, these are great.

10. Cheesy Jalapeño Popper

Somehow, this just seems like a sensible flavor for a Pringle. Why? We can’t quite say. But the combination of jalapeño and cheese just seems like it ought to make a good chip, and indeed it does. It’s not too hot and not too cheesy, so while this one will be a miss for anyone who can’t handle any spice at all, it has a broader target audience than most spicy Pringles flavors.

9. Ranch

You could dip your chip in ranch dressing…or you could coat it in a powder that’s meant to taste like the stuff and marvel at the resemblance. It may be milder than the dip, but the ranch flavor you’re probably looking for if you picked this Pringles flavor is definitely there.

That said, although ranch is one of the more common chip flavors in the U.S., according to the Smithsonian Institution, we know it can be a pretty polarizing flavor, so it doesn’t quite climb up to the top five. Those spots are reserved for flavors with a little more mass appeal.

8. Screamin’ Dill Pickle

We will be fully transparent here: these fall outside of the top five because we're not the biggest fans of pickles, not because they actually don’t taste good. We’re not alone in this opinion — ask anyone who’s worked in a fast food kitchen, and they’ll tell you how strongly people feel about whether or not their burger comes with pickles — so we feel justified in holding this Pringles flavor back a little.

But if you are of the opposite persuasion when it comes to pickles, you may love these. The pickle flavor is loud and clear, unlike so many Pringles flavors that fail to imitate their source material even a little bit. You’ll know these are pickle chips, and if you want pickle chips, you’ll be thrilled. Well-done? Indubitably. But not for everyone.

7. Hot Ones Los Calientes Verde

We tend to associate spice with “red” flavors, so it’s always refreshing when a snack features the brighter, fresher flavors of green chiles to bring the heat. That’s what’s so good about this Pringles flavor: it’s definitely spicy, but it has a very different feel than the other fiery chips in this lineup that mostly rely on hot sauce or pepper. Those in search of spice will find this a pleasant surprise.

6. BBQ

The classic, inspirer-of-a-thousand-imitators Pringles flavor you may have been waiting for. Are there better barbecue chips on the market? Inarguably, yes — you can’t get around the fact that the base chip here is much blander than your average supermarket potato chip. But when you need that smoky tang, you just need it. This is a go-to for a reason, and we’re not here to call that into question.

5. Sour Cream and Onion

The poster child for contrast, Sour Cream and Onion proves that Pringles flavors are at their best when they play vastly different tastes off of each other. Take the bite of onion and the soothing tang of sour cream and put them together, and you end up with a tube of chips you can’t stop eating. Pringles really are at their best when they stick to the well-trodden path.

4. Salt and Vinegar

There’s nothing overly exciting (if that's what you're looking for) about a plain, unseasoned chip, so the punch of vinegar is always a helpful addition to a Pringles flavor. It’s what makes barbecue-flavored Pringles taste so good, but it’s even more evident when you take out all the extra trappings and leave only salt and vinegar. They’re two of the purest and simplest flavors around, but therein lies the magic.

3. Pizza

Pizza Pringles work against all odds because they’re not afraid of a little tomato. Way too many pizza snacks flop because they lean too heavily into the cheese side of things and ignore the need for a good sauce entirely, but this Pringles flavor is actually the opposite. And it works. It might sound like a snack best-suited for a middle school boy, but even the most discriminating palate can appreciate that.

2. Original

Sometimes, all you need is salt. It’s a lesson we wish more snack brands would learn, but truly, Pringles are a shining example. You don’t need any fancy add-ons, novelty concepts or extra seasonings to make a Pringles flavor perfectly satisfying — plain old salt is enough. These utterly undemanding chips couldn’t be more addictive.

1. Cheddar and Sour Cream

What works better than one dairy product on a Pringle? Two dairy products on a Pringle, of course. There’s a real creaminess here, artificial as this Pringles flavor necessarily is, and an enjoyable contrast between savory sharp cheddar and tangy sour cream. Find us a Pringles fan who disagrees — we’ll wait.

When it comes to Pringles flavors, there are few stones left unturned at this point. Nearly everything that can be turned into seasoning for a potato chip, it seems, has been.

However, all that innovation still leaves us right where we started: while some newer or more novel Pringles flavors make a mark, we still found ourselves returning to the classics when it was time to rank the best of the bunch. So don’t feel too behind the times if you try a couple newcomers and still conclude that your favorite of all Pringles flavors is the same one you've had since you were a kid — you’re not alone.
