heart-shaped pizza

Both casual and decidedly romantic, heart-shaped pizza takes a standard pie and turns it into a treat that demands to be shared and savored. What’s more, since lots of chains around the country serve heart pizza these days, it’s never been easier to score a decent heart-shaped slice.

That’s good news, especially among those with pizza-loving partners desperately wondering “where can I get heart-shaped pizza?” In fact, with so many chains now serving heart-shaped Valentine’s pizza, it can actually be tricky just narrowing down the list.

But don’t worry. That’s precisely what we’re here to help with. Covering some of the nation’s favorite pizza purveyors, we’ll uncover the chains who have already announced their Valentine’s pizza menus, as well as those who, based on past years, are almost certainly about to join them.

Whether you’re curious about the return of Pizza Hut’s heart-shaped pizza, need heart-shaped pizza delivery for a romantic night in or are wondering, “Does Domino’s have heart-shaped pizza?” This guide to heart pizza is for you. If you have a penchant for pie, you’re in the right place.

Who Has Heart-Shaped Pizza?

1. Pizza Hut

While it’s still a touch too early to say for certain, it’s hard to imagine a Valentine’s Day without a few of Pizza Hut’s heart-shaped pizzas adorning the feeds of Instagram foodies. Something of a perennial Valentine’s Day favorite, medium-sized heart-shaped pizzas from Pizza Hut come loaded with toppings (as is the Pizza Hut way), with melty cheese and golden, crispy crusts.

Heart-shaped pizzas from Pizza Hut typically come uncut, too — a small touch that goes a long way to avoid breaking hearts on this most romantic of occasions. Keep an eye out on social media for confirmation soon; it’s a fairly safe bet that heart-shaped pizza from Pizza Hut will be back this Valentine’s Day.

2. Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream

Available from February 1 until Valentine’s Day itself, heart pizzas are confirmed to be back this romantic season at Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream. You and your favorite foodie can customize your pies with the chain’s various flavors and toppings.

Fan favorites include Taco Joe, Bacon Chicken Ranch or the new Texas Smoked Brisket BBQ Beef. Oh, and with many outlets offering to bring your Valentine’s dinner to you, you may well be able to order a heart-shaped pizza delivery — perfect for a romantic night in.

3. LaRosa’s Pizzeria

Offering a 12-inch heart pizza for a limited time only, LaRosa’s pizzeria is sure to be popular among slice-sharers who’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow this February. Sure, it’s a cheesy way to say “I love you,” but that’s kind of the point.

When you add that cheese to LaRosa’s signature family sauce and your choice of toppings (plus a special box decorated like a vintage Valentine’s Day card), you and your date are unlikely to be disappointed with LaRosa’s Valentine’s Day pizza.

4. Papa Murphy’s

Representing, in the chain’s own words, a “sweetheart of a deal,” Papa Murphy’s HeartBaker pizza can be purchased alongside a tub of its signature chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for the ultimate Valentine’s feast. On the pizza itself, you can expect a gold and crispy crust and your choice of cheese or pepperoni toppings.

Offered in a large size that’s perfect for sharing, if you’re in one of the 35 states that’s home to a Papa Murphy’s, then this pizza could quite easily be on the menu for you and your culinary companion this February.

5. Boston Pizza

Valentine’s pizzas have officially been announced for a return this February 14 at select Boston Pizza locations. This shouldn't come as a surprise.

In fact the chain proudly launches the initiative each year, and donates $5 for every heart pizza sold to local charities. If you’d like to help the chain raise some dough by raising, well, you know, then head on down to Boston Pizza with your pie-loving partner and snag a medium-sized pizza with toppings of your choosing.

6. Lou Malnati’s

Fancy a deep-dish, Chicago-style take on pizza this coming Valentine’s Day? Then head on over to the Tastes of Chicago website and order a Lou Malnati’s heart-shaped pizza (and heart-shaped cookie) to be delivered directly to your door… wherever you live in the USA!

Designed for celebrating not just Valentine’s Day, but any romantic occasion, Lou Malnati’s heart pizzas have found a place in the hearts of foodies around the nation. And given that you can enjoy them in both savory and sweet flavors, it’s honestly no wonder.

7. Detroit Style Pizza Company (via Goldbelly)

Available via Goldbelly, the Detroit Style Pizza Company offers toothsome thick-crust pizza for Valentine’s Day. It’s hearty enough to satisfy even the hungriest appetites.

Order a three-pack to stock your freezer, then choose plain, pepperoni or D-Town Deluxe with green peppers, onions and pepperoni. For the best spread, order one of each and let your favorite foodie pick their favorite.

8. Columbia Inn (via Goldbelly)

Bringing golden and crispy thin-crust vibes from the East Coast to just about anywhere they’re needed, Columbia Inn’s heart-shaped pizzas are a Goldbelly buy worth considering for partners who share a passion for pie. Like all pizzas should be, they come in packs of two.

While there are just two flavor options to choose from, pepperoni and plain cheese, both are equally delicious. If you’re looking to share a meal at home this romantic season, these thin-crust pies from Columbia Inn come highly recommended.

9. California Pizza Kitchen

Known and loved for its innovative and distinctly Cali-style take on everybody’s favorite pies, California Pizza Kitchen is going to be tough to beat for anybody looking for a memorable heart-shaped pizza. On the dedicated Valentine’s menu, patrons can get a starter, two entrées and a dessert from just $60.

We won’t bore you with the details of all the starters and salads, but it’s worth mentioning that there are no fewer than four flavors to choose from: the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza; Hawaiian; mushroom pepperoni sausage; and Sicilian. All are available in the chain’s signature heart-shaped thin crust, and all promise to be absolutely delicious.

10. Mountain Mike’s

If you agree with Mountain Mike’s that it serves “pizza the way it oughta be” – and you’ve experienced Mike’s tried-and-tasted take on Valentine’s Day dining in years past – then you’ll be excited to hear that the chain is once again bringing back its popular sweet-season menu. Order any large pie and ask your server to turn it into the shape of a heart, and they’ll be all too happy to oblige.

You can customize it with your choice of toppings, too, but that’s not even the best part. What makes Valentine’s Day at Mountain Mike’s so special isn’t only its pizzas, but the heart-shaped cherry pie that comes as standard with every Valentine’s meal order.

11. Domino’s

If you’re asking yourself “where can I get heart-shaped pizza this Valentine’s Day?” then chances are that the famous pizzas of Domino’s have at least crossed your mind. And if so, the answer is yes: Domino’s does have heart-themed pizza.

At least, it does almost every year. It’s hard to say what the best Domino’s pizza will be this Valentine’s Day, as it hasn’t yet (at the time of writing) announced its official Valentine’s menu. However, it’s a safe bet that the announcement is coming soon, and we’d say it’s just as safe to say that pizza shaped like a heart will once again be central to it.

12. Papa John’s

Again, there has, at the time of writing this guide, been no official announcement of heart-shaped pizza at Papa John’s yet. However, if previous years are anything to go by, it’s a safe bet that the announcement’s coming.

It’s usually a one-topping kind of deal, so it’s not as customizable as other ones that are likely to be available nearby (like Domino’s). However, if you’re among the many who agree that this popular pizza chain continues to live up to its ethos of “better ingredients” and “better pizza,” it’s easy to see the appeal.

A deliciously tearable and sumptuously sharable heart-shaped pizza from Papa John’s is sure to seem like a tempting prospect.

13. Little Caesars

Whether or not Little Caesars’ heart-shaped pizzas are available depends, to an extent, on where you are. It’s hard to say whether or not they’ll be available this year, as there has been no official announcement from the chain as of the time of writing this guide.

However, if they do become available, and you’re lucky enough to be near an outlet that serves them, then you’ll find they’re some of the most affordable. They’re often offered as part of a deal, too – sometimes with sides like breadsticks or drinks.

Look out for Valentine’s Day-specific deals, and if you’re unsure, ask the servers at your local outlet if they’ve heard anything on the grapevine about Little Caesars’ heart-shaped pizzas.

14. Jet’s

Renowned for its Detroit-style deep-dish pizza, Jet’s also offers an array of other crust types. Options include thin, NY style, seasoned cauliflower and gluten-free. With locations across the United States, the chain remains as popular as ever among those in need of a decent slice of pie.

Jet’s heart-shaped pizza has also proven to be popular in years past, however, with no official announcement as of yet, it’s tough to say whether you and your favorite foodie will be able to enjoy one. If previous years are anything to go by, though, then we expect to see an announcement from the chain any day now, and not just for Jet’s heart-shaped pizzas.

Alongside its savory pies, Jet’s previous Valentine’s Day menu has included heart-shaped cinnamon stix and bread. Together, they give couples the chance to enjoy a full-course meal in the spirit Cupid intended.

15. Marco’s

Marco’s heart-shaped pizza has proven a hit among Cupid’s most devout seasonal celebrants in years gone by. There has been no word yet on this year’s Valentine’s Day menu.

Still, it’s hard to imagine Marco’s heart-shaped pizza won’t make an appearance, especially in the Midwest and Southeast. Often baked with a buttery garlic crust and available for full customization, it’s worth ordering if it shows up near you.

16. Hungry Howie’s

Hungry Howie’s heart-shaped pizzas have proven a hit year after year. They’re usually offered in cheese or pepperoni and made with the chain’s signature flavored crust.

While there’s no confirmation they’ll be available this year, a Valentine’s menu announcement could drop any day now. Keep an eye on your local’s menu, or ask a team member whether Hungry Howie’s heart-shaped pizzas are due to return this February.

17. Pizzana via Goldbelly

If you’re unable to visit Los Angeles to sample critically acclaimed pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi’s novelty heart pizza, then don’t worry. Pizzana’s heart pizzas are now also available on Goldbelly – perfect for couples hoping to enjoy one of the most authentic pizzas without having to even leave the house to get it.

18. Pizano’s

If the past is any indication, Pizano’s in Chicago is likely to offer its heart-shaped deep-dish pies this Valentine’s season. Last year, the chain served heart-shaped pizzas in various flavors on a dedicated menu for sweethearts and sweet tooths. The menu also included a special red velvet cookie skillet.

19. Davanni’s

In years past, Davanni’s has pleased patrons both in-store and online with its medium-sized, thin-crust heart-shaped pizza. It's another single-topping deal, but who cares?

When offered alongside brownies for a mere dollar apiece, it's quite possible thanks to this Minnesota-based chain to enjoy a heart-shaped pizza feast on even the tightest date-night budgets.

20. Round Table Pizza

We can’t say for sure, but we suspect Round Table Pizza will once again serve its popular menu of heart-shaped pizzas this Valentine’s Day. Round Table Pizza currently offers nine topping combinations, plus plenty of sides and shareables to add to your order.

That variety makes it a popular spot for a date any time of year. Its Valentine’s Day tradition of turning large pizzas into Valentine’s-themed meals makes it a near sure thing for anyone hunting heart-shaped pizzas.

21. Godfather’s Pizza

Godfather’s Pizza promises couples and single Valentine’s Day patrons alike a pizza they can’t refuse. The chain is known for its annual tradition of baking heart-shaped pizzas for a few romantic days in February.

They’re usually offered with either cheese or pepperoni toppings. While there’s no official word yet, we don’t expect this year to be any different.

Affordable, playful and a decidedly cheesy way to say “I love you,” if you’re looking for a no-fuss way to spoil your foodie partner this Valentine’s Day, then consider treating them to one of the above heart-shaped pizzas. It doesn’t matter whether you make it yourself or order a heart-shaped pizza from one of the above chains and manufacturers. Heart-shaped pizza provides an affordable and playful (and admittedly cheesy) way to tell your favorite foodie how you feel.

And while it’s hardly what you might call “haute cuisine,” the bonus of something as simple as pizza is that it frees you up to focus less on the food and more on making the most of your time together. And isn’t that, after all, the point of Valentine’s Day?
