kosher salt, see notes
1 tblsp
smoked paprika
1 tblsp
onion powder
1 tblsp
garlic powder
1 tblsp
dried basil
2 tsp
dried thyme
2 tsp
mustard powder
1/2 tsp
celery seeds

Directions 4 steps | 5 Minutes

Step 1

In the bowl of a mini food processor, spice grinder or blender, add all the ingredients. (See notes.)

Step 2

Blend well until all of the ingredients are pulverized into a fine mixture.

Step 3

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Step 4

Use it anywhere you would use plain salt in savory applications. Enjoy!

  • Kosher salt crystals vary in size pending on brand. Use Diamond Crystal kosher salt in this recipe.

  • It is important to use fresh herbs and spices for the best flavor.

This seasoned salt recipe is quick and easy to put together and stores for a long time, plus it doesn't have any of the "natural flavors" that you typically find in the store bought versions. A win-win in my book!
