Chef Carrie

Class was very informative and diverse. I've cooked for over 60 years, but Carrie explained so many new things and why to do them. I enjoyed learning with her and the food was so delicious.

I was immediately drawn to her because she was very knowledgeable and had a caring and patient nature. I had limited cooking experience and she seemed like the perfect person for me to learn from. I took a series of private cooking lessons with her and I can honestly say that Carrie taught me how to cook. Her recipes are nutritious and tasty meals.

Carrie changed our life. My husband did not grow up cooking, so we have done various types of cooking classes and services in the past to build his confidence, but none of them really "stuck"--either the recipes were too complex to be practical everyday, they didn't quite fit in with our lifestyle/various food allergies/nutritional goals, or they just weren't things we loved enough to try again. But we are always on the search for more healthy, affordable meals, and wanted to give it another go, we signed up for a series of home classes with Carrie. Carrie blew us both away. She is so knowledgeable (being a nutritionist is a huge plus!), but while also being warm, kind, patient, and practical. We love every recipe she tried, and she also just gave my husband the skills and confidence he needed to be willing to try new things and play around with flavors and ideas on his own, not just stick religiously to a recipe. Some of the things she taught him are now regular household staples, while others opened up a world of possibilities for him to explore on his own. I love coming home to homemade risotto or stir fry or soup! And best of all, everything is nutritious, delicious, and meets our dietary needs.

During Carrie's hands-on class, I learned more about nutritional foods, cooking and healthy habits than I ever learned in my whole life. I knew then that I needed to work with Carrie as my mentor, coach and nutritionist. So I have embarked on this new lifestyle of eating and cooking healthier knowing that I have an expert to rely on when I get stuck or feel like retreating back to my old ways.

Chef Carrie is very fun to cook with and her instructions are very easy to follow. She makes simple and basic ingredients into tasty 5 star meals. Highly recommended!

Let me tell you just how much I gained from taking Carrie's cooking class - A LOT. I now cook every meal with confidence, skill & knowledge I was lacking before then...and cooking is such an important part of LIVING. What a great experience it was :) Carrie, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!
