Step 1

Prepare the dressing. In a bowl, combine the milk, sour cream, mayonnaise, granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar and finely grated lemon zest. Whisk until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust dressing to taste, if desired. Refrigerate.

Cook the bacon. In a skillet over medium-low heat, cook the bacon until crispy.

Drain on a paper towel lined plate and let cool. Once cool, chop the bacon into small pieces.

In a large bowl, combine the frozen peas, red onion, cheddar cheese, dressing and crumbled bacon. Reserve a little bacon to garnish on top. Toss until well combined.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour for the flavors to meld. Garnish with the reserved bacon and serve chilled. Enjoy!
