Cooking Class - South American Kitchen Essentials


Combine local produce with traditional recipes and techniques in this hands-on cooking class.
Follow along on this culinary excursion through South America, utilizing traditional ingredients and mastering time-honored cooking methods. Chef David will demonstrate and explain how to prepare flavorful classic dishes like tiradito and lomo saltado.
Practice Japanese sashimi cuts on white fish then whisk together herbs, peppers and leche de tigre to create a bright and spicy sauce for your appetizer. Next, you'll sear tender beef and sauté aji amarillo peppers along with onions and tomatoes to serve in a mouthwatering sauce. For dessert, combine passion fruit and condensed milk for a tropical mousse.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Made a delicious poke with tuna, furikake and mango with spicy mayo. Chef David was so great at explaining how to make and season the sushi rice as well as some teaching excellent knife skills!
