Loved this class! Michelle and Christmas are so gracious and lovely. Learned to make shrimp toast, peanut dressing, waffles and pho!! So delicious! Hope I get back to Houston someday and learn more.

Three of us went for Haute Halal Filipino Favorites class, we enjoyed the company and the food. We also had a visitor that brought in Tamales to taste, so that was a surprise and fun. But we felt that if this was a cooking class we left without learning anything from the Chef. We were hoping for insight into Philippines cooking and basics but we ended up with pre cooked soup that was already made before we showed up. The starter was also pre-made before we showed up. There was only one station so only one person got hands on experience of cooking 3 dishes. So if you want to learn this is not the class for you. If you want to have good food and company this is a great experience. The price felt steep for what our experience was.

Chef Michelle and Chef Christmas did a wonderful job hosting us! They helped to accommodate for our peanut allergy, and tariff is in a way where it was quick and easy to make each course. The salad was fantastic with the candied pecans, and the strawberry vinaigrette was a good sub in for the peanut sauce. The shrimp toast and duck sauce were a great appetiser, and the pandan waffles with berries and ice cream was a great finisher! The main pho itself held a spicy, flavourful beef broth, and the cuts of beef were really thick yet tender. Our only minor gripe was that we wished we cooked the noodle longer since the texture felt a bit stiff. Fun time overall, perfect for a date night!

Chef Wei is simply amazing! Her passion for authentic Shanghai cuisine shines through in every dish. The love and care she puts into her cooking create flavors that are both exquisite and unforgettable. Our experience was amazing, Christmas & Michelle were fun and easy to work with. We got there 20min early on accident and she was quick to invite us in and adjust her plans accordingly. She was a great instructor, and I feel that I could confidently replicate this ~delicious~ meal again. We booked this as part of an anniversary weekend getaway, and it was exactly the type of fun, intimate activity that we wanted, she even took our pictures and put together a little album of our dishes. My only criticism was that it only lasted just less than 2 hours, this was only a problem as we had arranged it to go straight to the airport after and ended up with an extra hour (+20) to kill. Very small inconvenience, and did not deduct from our day at all, 10/10 would do it again ?

Chef Nancy made us feel welcomed in her home and the cooking experience we had with her was amazing! She was very attentive to our needs and gave us good tips and feedback that we can incorporate into our own cooking at home. She had us taste test different ingredients as we cooked the food as opposed to tasting the final product. She shared with us her cultural culinary background and fun stories. I highly recommend taking one of Chef Nancy's cooking classes to not only gain culinary knowledge but to also have fun with cooking!

Chef Nancy is an excellent host and entertainer. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons she imparted on us and the welcoming atmosphere she created at her home. We ended up being a group of four and we each assisted in preparing one dish each. Chef Nancy explained each dish and encouraged us to taste various ingredient to understand the different flavor profiles. This a great environment for beginners and it isn’t intimidating at all for novice cooks.

Awesome experience. Great idea for a date night .Very warming and hospitable. Chef and her husband was good in entertaining us and the food was amazing . Portion of food was great, we even have some food that we took home. Would recommend it to family and friends, actually I’m gonna book another class for my parents so they can have a great time with Chef Nancy , coz we did.

Chef Lonnie was fun and informative! It was a lot of fun to get hands-on with the sushi to make veggie hand rolls, cucumber rolls, and tuna rolls. I think a little more structure to get the class's attention would have been helpful, since there was a lot of talking and missed attention at times, requiring Chef to shout over the room. But all in all, a great experience!

We learned how to cook Scallion pancakes, sweet pancakes, noodles and soup. All the dishes were delicious and very clean food! Definitely recommend, especially for people wanted to make authentic Chinese food!

We had a wonderful time with Chef Wei. We loved learning how to balance the flavors of pot stickers and soup dumplings. It was also great to learn how to properly fold and wrap the different dim sum. I know we will be attempting these recipes at home. She was a gracious host, and a kind and patient teacher. Would highly recommend.

Chef Nancy is now a part of our family! She was so welcoming, warm, and friendly. Teaching us the meaning behind the style of Filipino cooking, which is so beautiful. This was more than just a cooking class, but an overall experience my date, and I will never forget. I look forward to visiting Chef Nancy again and with friends this time around! This was not what we expected. Not a cooking class but mostly a demonstration. If your expectation is to have a hands on cooking lesson with a professional chef, please contact Linda to discuss the details ahead to avoid any surprises. At the end Linda was very accommodating and food was great. I just wished to know at the beginning that this is not a cooking session with a professional chef to adjust my expectations.
