Cooking Class - Authentic Northern Italian Cooking

Journey to Bologna and Milan and explore the exceptional and familiar fares of the region.

In this hands-on class, Chef Francesca will take you on a culinary tour of Northern Italy as you learn how to prepare the most popular and authentic regional delicacies.

You will learn how to make Bologna-style lasagna completely from scratch including the pasta sheets, bolognese and béchamel sauces. You will also learn how to make one of Milan's most sophisticated dishes: risotto. Chef Francesca will teach you the technique to create either a vegetarian Milanese-style risotto or a Piedmont-style risotto with red wine and Italian sausage.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I surprised my husband with a cooking class with Francesca at her home. I was a little timid about it being in her home at first, but it really didn’t matter once we were there. She is delightful and thought of all the little details to make the evening perfect. She had Italian/ wine decor all over her home. We learned so much, it was great to watch her cook up close and she explained her cooking techniques. We were very hands on, but if you don’t want to be she can do the whole thing for you. The dessert wasn’t on the menu, but because it was my husband’s birthday, she whipped up delicious panna cotta with a candle. The extra touches were remarkable.
