While Switzerland may initially call to mind the Alps, yodeling, and The Sound of Music, its native cuisine is worth knowing about, too. In this class, you’ll learn all how to make the fascinating dishes of this country with Chef Cathy, who hails from Switzerland and has spent over two decades as a professional cook.
First, you’ll start off by making Swiss raclette, a signature cheese dish made with potatoes. Then, you’ll move on to heavier courses with zürcher g’schnätzlets, or sautéed sliced chicken in creamy wine mushroom sauce, and berner rösti, a Swiss potato pancake with onions and bacon bits. You’ll top off your evening with a sweet apricot tart that’ll be the final sweet note to the perfect Swiss meal.
