Another gluten-free option on this list of the best Girl Scout Cookies, Toffee-tastic is any sweet tooth’s dream. As the top contender for the best gluten-free Girl Scout Cookie flavors, they’re a little bit sweet, a little bit crunchy and plenty buttery. 

Made with real toffee pieces scattered throughout a rich shortbread-like base, we found that the cookies delivered an authentic toffee-forward flavor that warmed the palate. These cookies pair perfectly with a hot beverage like tea or coffee or even a hot chocolate if you’re after a very sweet snack.   

The only drawback we found with these Girl Scout Cookies is that they fell short on texture — the sandy and gritty finish undercut the initial flavor burst. Unfortunately, this turned what should have been a smooth indulgence into a sandpit for your palate. 

As one of the best Girl Scout Cookies in terms of concept and flavor (but unfortunately not execution), this leaves it ranked slightly above the other gluten-free offering, but still hampered by its aftertaste.

10. Girl Scout S’mores

Recreate campfire nostalgia with the Girl Scout S’mores Cookies, one of the best Girl Scout Cookies for its innovative sandwich format. We found that these cookies had just the right amount of crunch from the graham-style wafers and the hearty amount of marshmallow and chocolate really encapsulated the essence of a good s’more in cookie form.

However, we’ve got some bad news. While these Girl Scout Cookies ranked consistently well on lists of the best Girl Scout Cookies for quite some time, it’s been confirmed that this flavor will be discontinued at the end of the 2025 cookie season. 

For lovers of the Girl Scout S’mores, it looks like you’ll have to start making them the old-school way from now on — or just stock up on boxes while you can! 

9. Lemon-Ups

Though the flavor can be polarizing, Lemon-Ups are one of the best Girl Scout Cookies to grab when you want to lighten your mood with citrus flavors and motivational sayings.

We found that these cookies had a delicate lemon aroma which wasn't too strong, and they’re tangy, well-balanced and a fairly decent replacement for their predecessor, the Savannah Smiles. However, many find they are not a better version of Savannah Smiles, which is why Lemon-Ups aren’t higher on this list of the best Girl Scout cookies.

Savannah Smiles were discontinued in 2019, but their bright lemon flavor and satisfying texture are still fresh in our minds, especially since they were much more lemony than Lemon-Ups. This makes it hard not to compare the two and notice what Lemon-Ups are missing. As far as the best Girl Scout Cookies go, these are good, but there are better lemon-forward options out there. 

8. Adventurefuls

We found that this cookie perfectly balanced these sweet flavors with the addition of flaky sea salt on top. We also like that these cookies nail down the flavor of the caramel center so well, but despite its flair, we thought it wasn’t deserving of a higher spot among the best Girl Scout Cookies because of the texture. 

The exterior proved excessively firm, and this clashed with the caramel, which offered very little additional moisture. Though visually striking, Adventurefuls fell a little short and the brittle bite failed to satisfy the sweet-and-gooey adventure advertised. 

7. Trefoils

Trefoils are inspired by the best Girl Scout Cookies out there — the O.G. cookie recipe — and that classic shortbread texture is utterly irresistible when it comes to ranking the best Girl Scout Cookies.

Their pure buttery simplicity truly sums up why all Girl Scout Cookies are so well-loved. Plus, we found that the melt-in-your-mouth texture and clean flavor profile make them the ideal companion to coffee or tea.
