Immerse yourself in the beauty of Roman cafe culture in this hands-on culinary experience.
In this hands-on class with Chef Conor, you will have the opportunity to journey into the world of Roman cafe culture. Chef Conor will teach you basic knife skills, baking, sauce making, sauté work, and elegant plating as you prepare three Roman cafe classics using fresh, local Portland produce.
You'll begin the class by preparing a punchy pasta dish, and a lemony and buttery chicken piccata. For dessert, you'll bake up an indulgent and irresistible batch of sweet almond cookies with blue cheese, marinated local cherries, and local black pepper-scented honey.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

we really enjoyed our experience and meeting with Conner! the food was delicious and he was super knowledgeable willing to answer questions on things outside of the menu we were tasting. We'll probably do it again but have him come to us.

Meet your chef
Chef Conor began his culinary career at the age of 15 as a dishwasher. After growing to love the controlled chaos of the kitchen, he went on to complete degrees in Culinary Arts and Hotel and Restaurant Management and a cooking internship in Paris. Chef Conor receives the greatest joy from the training that goes on in a kitchen, and the teaching aspect of being a chef is what he loves most about his work.
