Barbari bread is a popular Persian flatbread often consumed with feta cheese, walnut, vegetables, and tea for breakfast, while bowl bread is mainly used to serve soups or salads. In this class, you'll prepare both, as well as a velvety lentil soup that can be served for dinner or breakfast or as a side with other dishes.

I love going out for Persian food, but never would have known where to start if I tried to make it at home. Chef Faramarz has such a breadth of knowledge about the ingredients needed and the various classic dishes in Persian cuisine--I learned so much in the few hours I spent with him! His food is amazing, too--I loved the bread he made and even took some home to have with honey and butter the next day, as he recommended. I also couldn't believe how flavorful the vegan eggplant dish was! I'll for sure be creating some of the dishes again at home.
