My family's yoga and meditation center often had international visitors, which expanded and inspired my love of cooking. I got my culinary degree at the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York, focusing on simple recipes with a strong emphasis on holistic health. I merge ingredients that provide essential health benefits to create delicious tasting meals. No longer will vegetarian food have a bad rap.

Chef Liila's place is amazing! She has so many of her own fruit trees, veggies, and herbs growing around her house and incorporates many into her dishes. I loved her vegetarian tacos and her quinoa salad with persimmons. Everything was so flavorful, satisfying, and also refreshing! I would love to go back and see what's in season next time I'm in LA!

Chef Liila has the most beautiful, perfect property I have ever seen. It is completely full of edible trees, plants, and bushes -- it feels like some sort of incredible botanical garden where everything is edible. From kinds of guava I've never seen before to types of kale I've never heard of to a rare Brazilian fruit that was absolutely foreign to me, this property has everything. And her food! The flavors were so beautiful and thoughtful, and the presentations were great. I can't wait till it's warm again to try and make Chef Liila's granita!
