Come enjoy a taste of the season with Chef Gene as winter grows near.
Chef Gene creates an opportunity to gather in the kitchen and enjoy the abundant artisan ingredients of the Pacific Northwest among good company. Have fun while you learn how to match seasonal flavors and cooking techniques.
Take a simple pumpkin soup to the next level with smoky bleu cheese and candied bacon. Marinate in the luxuriousness of fresh Pacific sea scallops enriched with dandelion greens, baby beets, apple cider, and roasted hazelnuts. End with a lavish apple tarte tatin garnished with decadent whiskey caramel sauce and crème fraiche ice cream.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Gene did a fantastic job making us all feel comfortable, explaining the process and adapting the event to meet our expectations. He is very knowledgeable and made sure we were all engaged in the preparation of the meal. The ingredients were of high quality and the menu featured seasonal ingredients per our request. We all went away with many great tips on how to improve our cooking skills.

What a truly memorable evening learning so much from an expert teacher and consummate chef who is the former head of the Portland Culinary Institute. I highly recommend that everyone who would like raise their cooking skills to the next level take a class with him.

With over 20 years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry, Chef Gene is the entertaining and knowledgeable host of a variety of engaging cooking classes that bring out the best of the Pacific Northwest. Chef Gene holds degrees in culinary arts, hospitality, and educational leadership, and has had the privilege of opening two culinary education facilities in his career. These accomplishments showcase his passion for teaching as well as his outstanding culinary skills.
