What You'll Do

Learn to make fresh pasta from scratch and pair it with a rich brown butter sauce.

Discover how simple and rewarding homemade pasta can be in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Sarah. Start by mixing flour, water and salt into a fresh egg-free pasta dough, then learn how to knead it properly before letting it rest. While your dough rests, you’ll work as a group with a prepared batch to practice rolling and cutting pasta with a machine.

 

You’ll also learn simple hand-shaping techniques that show how easy it is to make fresh pasta without special equipment. As you shape your own dough, Chef Sarah will demonstrate how to prepare a rich butter sage sauce with garlic and lemon, then cook the fresh noodles until tender. At the end of class, you’ll sample the pasta made during the session and take home a full batch of fresh pasta to cook within the next three days.
