In this hands-on class, Chef Shalia gives you an introduction to creating spunky Cajun cuisine with techniques that can spice up any dish. Learn to recreate the flavors of Louisiana with Chef Shalia's gourmet menu, which will teach you the fundamentals of Louisiana cooking and provide a history of Cajun cuisine.
Learn to prepare a New Orleans barbecue shrimp dish complete with Creole compound butter and French bread. Next, you'll make Cajun crawfish fettuccine before you finish this menu off with a succulently Southern and boozy bourbon-soaked peach crumble.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef
After earning a Bachelor’s degree and traveling the world as a flight attendant, Chef Shalia enrolled in culinary school to follow her dreams. She has gained experience in many roles in the kitchen — from line cook to sous chef — learning the ins-and-outs of cooking from multiple roles and angles. She is passionate about giving back to others through cooking and does just that in her fun and interactive classes.
