Learn how to fuse together incredible ingredients for a burst of flavor with Chef Gustavo.

Chef Gustavo will draw upon his vast expertise to showcase Ibero-American fusion cuisine in an informative and entertaining environment.

In this couples cooking class, Chef Gustavo will show you how to sauté spicy shrimp with ease, using everyday kitchen tools and fresh ingredients. Then, you'll try your hand at preparing a green plantain cake and filleting fresh fish just like a professional. For a delectable dessert, you'll learn to make sweet crêpes that are sure to please with award-winning aroma, presentation and taste.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This was our first cozymeal experience, and it will be a tough one to beat! Chef Gustavo knows his stuff, has great stories, was very welcoming and warm, gave us tips and taught us more than just what was on the menu. Highly recommend for cookers and learners of all level!

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Café in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. He draws his inspiration from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain and more. He studied at L’ Academie de Cuisine and is knowledgeable in French cuisine as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
