Join Chef Gustavo for a unique culinary journey through the cuisines of South America.

In this class, you will learn all about the intricate and unique dishes of four South American nations. You'll begin with a classic Peruvian ceviche followed by a fresh quinoa salad filled with the flavors of Bolivia. Then, you'll sample the savory flavors of Argentina with beef empanadas and finish up with classic Venezuelan arepas. As you learn how to create these flavorful authentic plates, Chef Gustavo will teach you about the fascinating histories and cultures behind each bite.

It was a pleasurable way to spend an evening and a cozy atmosphere. We experienced some delicious meals from across regions in South America and learn some cultural background. Chef Gustavo also demonstrated the various meals such that we can try them at home.

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Café in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. He draws his inspiration from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain and more. He studied at L’ Academie de Cuisine and is knowledgeable in French cuisine as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
