WHAT YOU’LL DO

Learn to pipe, color and fill cute character macarons in this playful hands-on cooking class.

In this cooking class, you will transform traditional French macarons into cute characters, starting with a quick look at the history of macarons and the three simple ingredients behind them. You will whip up a silky Swiss meringue from egg white and sugar, then give your wrist a gentle workout as you master macaronage by folding in almond flour and powdered sugar.


Next, you will tint your batter, pipe different shapes with a variety of tips and bring your characters to life. You will also make two fillings, a rich chocolate ganache and a seasonal buttercream in flavors like vanilla, strawberry, matcha, coffee or peppermint. Expect plenty of laughs, a little buttercream on your fingers and yes, sampling along the way. Book your spot today!

This class takes place at the chef’s location with a minimum of three people. If the minimum isn’t met, you will be offered another date.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

With macaron batter and food coloring
Step 5: Pipe Different Shapes
With piping bags and piping tips in assorted sizes
Step 6: Decorate Your Macaron Shells
Add colorful patterns and playful details to your piped shells
Step 7: Make the Fillings
Two Macaron Fillings
Chocolate Ganache Filling
With chocolate, heavy whipping cream and butter
Seasonal Buttercream Filling
With butter, powdered sugar and a seasonal flavor of vanilla, strawberry, matcha, coffee or peppermint
Step 8: Fill and Sandwich Your Macarons
Pair the baked shells with your fillings
