What You'll Do

Create a full New England spread with lobster rolls, potatoes and blueberry pie.

Enjoy a New England-inspired evening in this hands-on cooking class in Austin. You'll prepare a classic Connecticut-style lobster roll using homemade brioche, then build a butter lettuce salad with radishes, cucumbers and a buttermilk herb dressing. On the side, you'll make sea salt and vinegar smashed potatoes and finish with a crustless blueberry pie and a refreshing raspberry lime rickey. After pursuing culinary school and retiring from teaching, Chef Karen became a chef instructor in 2019. Promoted to Culinary Lead in 2020, she continued to excel, recently stepping into the role of Resident Chef. Working as a Chef Instructor has rekindled her passion for food and sharing culinary knowledge with every guest she meets.

I’m no longer intimidated by preparing a Beef Wellington thanks to Chef Karen! Chef walked us through each step of preparation and voila! The best Beef Wellington accompanied by green beans and mashed potatoes! I’ll be making this menu for my family soon!
