This class lets you wield Joyce Chen original shears and other pro tools to whip up Koreatown kitchen favorites. Think garlic-glazed fried chicken, savory pork dumplings and a crisp cucumber salad with scallions and sesame that's perfect for plant-powered palates.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef


After pursuing culinary school and retiring from teaching, Chef Karen became a chef instructor in 2019. Promoted to Culinary Lead in 2020, she continued to excel, recently stepping into the role of Resident Chef. Working as a Chef Instructor has rekindled her passion for food and sharing culinary knowledge with every guest she meets.

I’m no longer intimidated by preparing a Beef Wellington thanks to Chef Karen! Chef walked us through each step of preparation and voila! The best Beef Wellington accompanied by green beans and mashed potatoes! I’ll be making this menu for my family soon!
