What You’ll Do

Teen chefs explore the culinary world with five days of advanced cooking and baking techniques.

In this immersive cooking series designed for ages 12 and older, aspiring cooks will expand their culinary knowledge with hands-on practice and advanced techniques. Guided by a chef instructor, participants will strengthen fundamental food preparation skills and kitchen safety best practices as they hone their cooking and baking skills. Each day of summer cooking classes builds confidence and inspires creativity with challenging recipes. At the end of the series, students will take home a printed menu along with a graduation certificate acknowledging their new skills.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

The Chef was lovely, and the pastries turned out great. I only wish everyone at the table had their dough to work with instead of sharing, and it was awkward at times. There was an individual who was baking most of the time and not allowing others to have an opportunity. I think the class is overpriced if you have to share and are not baking or cooking. That is my honest review.

Emily was excellent chef and guide that kept us on track while providing expert knowledge and some humor. Both the food and the experience were great!
