Embark on a culinary journey with Chef Liza to create authentic homemade hummus, harissa and more!
This hands-on cooking class is focused on exploring ingredient sourcing and cooking techniques associated with Israeli foods, with an emphasis on the health benefits of each ingredient. Chef Liza will help sharpen your knife skills while also teaching invaluable lessons about heat cooking methods such as grilling, frying and pan-searing across five deliciously gluten, dairy and soy-free courses.
You will learn how to make homemade hummus and harissa in a food processor, as well as fundamental knife skills while creating the carrot fennel salad. You will also learn about using the proper temperature for grilling eggplant. Next, you will learn to sustainably source and sear scallops, which you’ll enjoy with creamy Jerusalem-style polenta. The meal will finish with a refreshing dairy-free orange blossom malabi pudding with coconut whipped cream and dried blood oranges.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Liza is great and I highly recommend taking a class with her. She is really fun to work with and has great tips if you're looking to make cooking easier. She is knowledgeable and informative - she explains her reasoning behind the techniques she uses and she also makes great food!

I wish I could give Chef Liza more than 5 stars! The entire Asian experience was amazing! Not only were her cooking and instructing skills phenomenal, she was also extremely prepared and organized! Chef Liza's preparation and thoughtful instruction approach made for a super fun time that easily could have been complete chaos with our big crazy group. Even though we were a bunch of newbie's the food came out delicious thanks to her help! I cannot wait to try her other classes!
