Learn how to make three authentic Iberian dishes from scratch with Chef Gustavo.

Iberia is an area of Europe comprising Spain and Portugal. In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Gustavo, you will learn how to make three distinctive dishes of the region completely from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Begin with gambas al ajillo diablo, a recipe featuring shrimp cooked in a garlic, parsley, lemon and white wine sauce. Next, cook spiced Valencian paella the traditional Spanish way: In a wood fire with vegetables, pork, chicken and saffron. Finally, prepare homemade crêpes filled with either dulce de leche or Nutella.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a wonderful time! Gustavo did a great job explaining the steps we took in preparing our meal, and we learned a couple of techniques to use at home. His space is welcoming and it was just as fun talking to him as it was cooking.

He draws his inspiration from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain and more. He studied at L’ Academie de Cuisine and is knowledgeable in French cuisine as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
