Cooking Class - Better Than Chinese Takeout
Learn to make classic savory dumplings and other Chinese restaurant favorites at home.
Wontons are one of the most popular dishes ordered at Chinese restaurants, but when you dine out, you can't control the amount of salt or other ingredients that go into your food. Chef Gilley will teach you how to make your own wontons and other Chinese take-out favorites from scratch.
You'll begin by learning how to prepare a proper chicken lo mein with the right "wok kei" to stir-fry your noodles. Then, you'll experience the fun of rolling your own homemade wontons to be stuffed with your choice of chicken or pork. You will also learn to make a spicy dipping sauce. To round out the meal, you will learn to make another Chinese classic: the scallion pancake.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

It was a lot of fun! He was informative, arrived early and made some delicious food. He even washed the dishes so we didn’t have to clean up the kitchen afterwards. Highly recommend Chef Gilley.
