Cooking Class - Fundamental Culinary Knife Skills

Learn simple, fun, and innovative recipes while honing fundamental culinary knife skills with Chef Kristin.

In this hands-on culinary knife skills class, Chef Kristin focuses on teaching traditional French and Japanese knife skills that can be used when preparing any meal.

You will begin class by learning the basics about different types of knives, how to properly hold and safely use a chef knife, and how to sharpen and hone knives. Then, you'll be able to practice your new knife skills and the full spectrum of cuts while slicing and dicing your way towards creating each item on the menu, which is gluten-free and vegetarian.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Amazing afternoon learning proper technique and improving our knife skills. Chef Kristin provided a very professional cooking experience in her fantastic kitchen and stunning home. The presentation and organization of the class was perfect for what we wanted to learn. She was a joy to learn from and share stories with. Highly recommend her for any of the courses she instructs.

Really informative class, lots of vegetable cutting with a chefs knife. Kristin is an accomplished chef who enjoys teaching in her beautiful home suited for sophisticated dining. We prepared five veggie dishes which we got to eat. Would recommend it for anyone who wants to understand the importance of preparation and basic vegetable cutting.
