Pasta-Making Class - Pasta Fresca

Learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch with Chef Marty.

Unlock the secrets to preparing authentic homemade Italian cuisine from Chef Marty's hometown of Tuscany! In this hands-on pasta-making class, you'll lean on Chef Marty's years of culinary expertise as you learn all the techniques and tricks you need to make pasta at home.

Begin by preparing a rich tiramisu just like Nonna used to make on Sundays. You will then make fresh pasta by hand and pick fresh herbs from the chef’s organic vegetable garden to create a classic dish of pappardelle with brown butter, sage and Parmigiano cheese. You will also make fresh bruschetta al pomodoro and learn how to pronounce it like a true Italian. This al fresco-style class will be held outdoors under a covered patio, so please remember to dress warmly.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Marty was an excellent chef and an even better host! We learned easy, and practical recipes that she grew up eating in Tuscany. She was extremely knowledgeable in cooking technique without being too technical for us to understand. Aside from learning more about Italian history and culture, our favorite part was learning about her wonderful and colorful life growing up there. Thank you, Marty, for inviting us into your beautiful home! It was a pleasant first-time cooking class experience!!
