Join Chef Kristin in creating a fiesta of flavorful Mexican dishes using plant-based ingredients.
In this hands-on class, Chef Kristin will guide you through the preparation of a three-course Mexican-style meal using alternative protein sources and naturally gluten-free ingredients.
Chef Kristin will review basic knife skills, kitchen safety, and sanitary practices, and discuss the basics of a plant-based kitchen. Then, you will put your new skills and culinary knowledge into action as you learn how to properly cook beans for enchiladas, how to work with jackfruit and make homemade tortillas for tacos, and the secret to demystifying the surreptitious vegan queso.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Kristin was an absolute joy! She is very knowledgeable about vegan and gluten-free eating. She was able to clearly explain how certain vegan substitutions work, and knew how to maximize flavor and texture in each dish. Her dishes are so fresh and creative that even someone who isn't vegan or gluten free would love them!

After spending a decade building and leading customer experience teams at Fortune 100 companies, Chef Kristin decided to change careers and follow her passion of becoming a health and wellness chef and coach. After graduating from the Natural Gourmet Institute, she added to her resume a Michelin star restaurant and a healthy meal delivery service. Chef Kristin also enjoys teaching private cooking classes that include gluten-free dishes to plant-based recipes.
