Make date night special and learn how to create a delicious seasonal menu.
Bring and date and how to turn the bounty of Southern California into a fabulous six course meal with Chef Kari. This class is specially designed for couples and will teach you helpful skills as well as a menu’s worth of recipes that you can take home and recreate in your kitchen.
Your first course of the evening will be asparagus paired with tangy goat cheese topped with a homemade dijon sauce. For your salad course you will prepare a bed of farmer’s market greens with creamy avocado, toasted almonds and cranberries, and topped with a grapefruit poppy seed vinaigrette. Next you will prepare a chilled smoked catch of the day fish with tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and lemon with a dill-yogurt sauce.
Up next, seared skirt steak prepared with roasted potatoes, sweet corn and pearl onions, and served with fragrant herbs. Your fifth course will be a creamy cauliflower and yam gratin seasoned with sage. For dessert, you will enjoy a flourless lava souffle with fresh cream and berries.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Kari is real down-home cooking in all the best ways: yummy, approachable, and delicious. She is a real chef--she's on top of everything in the kitchen and can teach anyone a whole lot. I really enjoyed my time with her and eating the dishes was the best part! Wonderful class, I'd take class after class from her any day.

My food is rich with approachable flavors that your family and friends will be impressed with but that they'll feel good eating.
