Get your cutting up to speed with this necessary course in the basics of knife work.

It can be intimidating to watch cooking shows, where professional chefs cut with such speed and precision without endangering themselves in any way. But how they wield knives isn’t simply magic; it’s a set of skills anyone can pick up with a little practice. Learn from Chef Anja the absolute fundamentals when it comes to prep work, where see how to chop, slice, mince and dice veggies, meat and garnishes like a pro.

In the process of mastering your knife skills, you’ll cut up the ingredients to make either a chicken vegetable or french onion soup, a butternut squash soup, and finally shave a large bar of chocolate to garnish a homemade chocolate pudding. Revel in your new expertise by digging into the dishes you’ve sliced and prepared.

We had so much fun cooking with chef Anja. She's great at breaking down the things your parents never taught you in the kitchen (...I won't reveal my favorite tips... Anja will have to tell you!). The food was just a delicious as her instruction. Looking forward to watching her chef star rise.
