Cooking Class - Signature Paella

Learn to make traditional seafood paella completely from scratch for a craveable and impressive meal.

Savor the aroma of simmering seafood paella, an iconic Spanish dish that's as visually stunning as it is delicious. In this immersive cooking class with Chef Diego, you'll put on your apron and dive into the journey of making classic Spanish paella.

After building a Caesar salad, you'll prepare a medley of seafood, like shrimp, mussels and squid, to mix into your paella creation. The hallmark of perfect paella is fluffy golden rice with a slightly crispy bottom. You'll sauté then steam vegetables and rice with homemade seafood broth and a pinch of saffron for that distinct color. For dessert, whip up luscious crema Catalana.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

After graduating from the esteemed Gastronomic Institute D'Gallia in Lima, Peruvian-born Chef Diego began working his way through the culinary world. His ventures included opening a restaurant in Cusco and heading up an events catering crew in Lima. His journey brought him to the U.S., where he worked in array of top-shelf eateries. Now based in NYC, Chef Diego relishes teaching novice cooks how to create diverse global and gourmet fare completely from scratch.
