Cooking Class - Aloha to Pan-Pacific Cuisine

Discover the harmonious blend of sweet and savory while learning more about Pan-Pacific cuisine.

During this interactive island-inspired cooking class, Chef JR will take you on a culinary journey to handcraft exquisite Hawaiian dishes, from poke to fried rice to bread pudding.

Start by crafting vibrant ahi tuna poke infused with sesame oil, sambal and more. Next, you’ll cook chicken thighs with the flavors of shoyu and ginger and top it with a mango-bell pepper salsa, and fry up jasmine rice with sweet pineapple and crunchy cashew nuts. For dessert, Chef JR will show you how to make bread pudding with bananas in a macadamia nut-whiskey sauce.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef taught us how to make a pineapple cashew fried rice with curried chicken and talked us through how important it is to have everything prepped in Asian cooking especially when cooking in a wok. He even laid out a chart showing which order things can go in, and he explained everything about the order while teaching the dish.
